Jennifer B.

Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Jennifer is a passionate advocate for holistic well-being. As the second of four kids, she embraced a diverse range of interests, from sports and the arts to science. Pursuing her studies at Brigham Young University in Therapeutic Recreation, Jennifer's coursework focused on anatomy, human biology, psychology, and experiential design.

Her commitment to helping others led her to volunteer at a variety of places, such as the National Ability Center in Park City, Utah, where she guided blind skiers, and assisted at juvenile detention centers, hospitals, and summer camps. After graduating, she worked as a recreational therapist, empowering teenagers in a mental health residential hospital through outdoor activities. To further her interest in healthcare, she became a certified Wilderness First Responder and a Red Cross CPR and First Aid instructor. Jennifer continued her career in North Carolina, working on the adolescent psychiatry unit at the University of North Carolina Hospital. A dedicated mother, she took a break to raise her three daughters and, in 2020, became a certified yoga teacher.

Inspired by her love for anatomy and kinesiology and the strong desire to help others, Jennifer returned to school at Body Wisdom to become a massage therapist, specializing in medical modalities, including multiple manual and tool assisted Deep Tissue type modalities, modern Neuromuscular and Myofascial Therapy, Orthopedic Massage, and various other techniques.

Jennifer serves her clients at Evergreen Clinical Massage, her own private practice, and enjoys teaching sciences and specialty courses to our students at Body Wisdom.

A bookworm and outdoor enthusiast, she, her husband, and their children frequent the climbing gym and embark on road trips to hike and camp in new places. Jennifer Benson's journey is a fusion of diverse experiences, education, and a steadfast commitment to fostering well-being.
