Assisted Stretching
This 8-hour hands-on course introduces massage therapy students to the principles and
practice of assisted stretching, including static stretching, proprioceptive neuromuscular
facilitation (PNF), and pin-and-stretch techniques. All techniques will be learned on the massage
table for seamless integration into massage sessions. Students will explore the neuromuscular
mechanisms underlying flexibility and range of motion, and how to leverage those mechanisms
to achieve greater results for clients. This course will help therapists gain confidence in applying
a variety of stretching techniques to the whole body for a more holistic therapeutic massage.
